The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has extended the Orange Air Quality Alert through Sunday (Aug. 25). The air quality is unhealthy for Sensitive Groups due to elevated pollutant levels.

*This Advisory has been extended through Sunday, August 25th.*

Air pollutants can cause breathing difficulties for children, the elderly, as well as persons with respiratory problems. Those individuals who are sensitive to increased particulate matter, gaseous pollutants such as ozone, or smoke, are encouraged to avoid prolonged or strenuous outdoor activity. It is also recommended that all other individuals limit prolonged or strenuous activity outdoors.

If it is a regularly scheduled work day, you are urged to:

  • Car pool, telecommute, or use mass transit
  • Avoid idling your vehicle
  • Delay fueling your vehicle until late in the day
  • Reduce the use of gasoline-powered equipment or delay until late in the day.
